And the said Centra Coffice then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Acti to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF. Hantford ss. tle it Remembered, on the first That day of Abream the A. D. 18ing, before the Luperion Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- sonally L. S. Ernst appeared, a. Liffer 24 of Furmination in said County, who was born in Laxons, aged about years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to The government of dayony of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject.
