At a Euperior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State

on the 2 Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
PRESENT-HON. John D. Park judge
the it Remembered, That on the
23°
day of September
in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty fix gances Kelly
of
Litchfield
in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and a free white person,
appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and
a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said
made by him before this Count
Killy then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention
and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Actto
establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject."
Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows

And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said

United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.

and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and

Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,
