    "ocrText": "41\nAt.a holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State\nConnecticut, on\nhundred and fifty six\nthe 2 Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight of\nPRESENT-HON John D Park Judge\nthe it Remembered, That on the 24th day of September\nin the\nof Winchister\nyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six William Kelly\nin said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person,\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nKellin\nthen exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nmade by him before /they Court\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Aette\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nCOUNTY OF Lilchfuld\n}\nss.\nthe it Remembered, That on the 17\nday\nof February\nA. D. 1852 before the\nSuperiors\nCourt, within and for said County,\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nL.S.\nsonally appeared,\nWilliam Kelly\nof Winchester\nin said\nCounty, who was born in Topperary Co. Incland\naged about 24-\nyears, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and partieularly to Victoria\nQueen\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-\nof, I, Find K. D Buman assistant\nClerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid.\nluse\nFreduck D. Buman assistant\nClerk.\nAnd it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said\nKelly\nhas resided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\nand in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAnd the said\nKelly\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to Victoria because\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court,\nthat said William Kelly\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nto become a Citizen of the UNITED STÁTES."
