41 At.a holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State Connecticut, on hundred and fifty six the 2 Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight of PRESENT-HON John D Park Judge the it Remembered, That on the 24th day of September in the of Winchister year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six William Kelly in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Kellin then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before /they Court and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Aette establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802, as follows: STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF Lilchfuld } ss. the it Remembered, That on the 17 day of February A. D. 1852 before the Superiors Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, William Kelly of Winchester in said County, who was born in Topperary Co. Incland aged about 24- years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and partieularly to Victoria Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Find K. D Buman assistant Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. luse Freduck D. Buman assistant Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Kelly has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Kelly having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria because of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said William Kelly be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STÁTES.
