44 At a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the D Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six PRESENT-Ho: John D. Park judge the it Rememberrà, That on the 24 day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty Dix. Miles of Wuichester in said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. D. 1853, before the Fud K Biernan clerk of th loun Court, within and for said County, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per- L.S. sonally appeared, liles Me clary of Winchester in said County, who was born in blaw bo Ireland aged about 25-g years, and on oath did declare that it was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria Deem of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where- of, I, Fredk D. Buman Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my hand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. la bas Fredeick l Rennew Clerk. And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said decetary has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connectieut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. llow une And the said be Nany having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria green of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said Miles the crary be, and he was accerdingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
