Punh Indre\nBe it Rememberrà, That on the third\nday of Celebra in\nthe\nyear of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and lifty six Engene Evans\nof Winchester\nin said County of Litehfield, being an alien and a free white person,\nappeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and\na Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said\nmade by him before the Superier bount in and for\nEvens\nthen exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention\nLitchpire\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Act to\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows:\nSTATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nss.\nCOUNTY OF Litetified\nthe it Remembered, That on the sumplenth\nday\nof February\nA. D. 1852, before the\nSuperior\nCourt, within and for said County,\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, per-\nsonally appeared,\nL. S.\nreagure Evenus\nof Wineluster\nin said\nCounty, who was born in Weekmayd les.\naged about\n25\nyears, and on oath did declare that\nit was bona fide his intention to become a CITIZEN OF THE\nUNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Poten-\ntate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to\nVieteria Duen\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject. In Testimony Where-\nof, I, Luck h 20. Buman assistant Clerk of said Court, have hereunto set my\nhand, and Seal of the said Court, the day and year aforesaid. 10 bas\nIndivel Lo. Buman\nassistant Clerk.\nAnd it appearing to\nthe satisfaction of the Court, that said Evens\nhas resided\nwithin the United States five years at least,\n18\nand in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years\nhe has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nbas\nAnd the said\nrouns\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nthe\nCONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce\nand abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and\nparticularly to Victoria Quem\nof the United Kingdom of\nGreat Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject.\nIt\nwas\ntherefore considered by the Court,\nthat Eugene Evans\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted\nto become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.\nto"
