91 Savier At a Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4" Tuesday of fanuary in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty six PRESENT-Hon. judge Be it Remembered, That on the 20" day, of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty six, John Synehaw of North loanceas in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And at the time of his said application, and of his admission as a citizen of the United States, as hereinafter specified, the said form Synchan declared on oath, in open Court, that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to of the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Ireland, of whom he has been hitherto a subject. And further declared on oath and proved to the satisfaction of the Court, that for the three years next preceding, it has been bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States. is a free white male person, of lawful/age, that he was bok in Areland And it being found by the said Court that the said John Synchane and is aged about twenty three years, the United five at three next at age twenty-one years, and in And States it appearing years to the satisfaction least, including of the Court, years that said preceding fabra his Sepular arrival the of has resided within the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said CONSTITUTION and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance OF of THE UNITED STATES, having declared on oath, that he would support the e and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Il Victoria Queen e of the United Kingdom Íreland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said of Great STATES. Britain and a be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED Clerk.
