148 Al a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the 4 Tuesday of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and siftyn PRESENT-HON. Milu T. Changer ludge Bc it Remembercò, That on the 25 day of bach of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Sutty nine Welliam Schoverhing in the year of New miffere in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said William thoughing then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the Declaration of intention made by him before the count of Common Pleas fu the City flounty of New york and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." And the said millain Schouling having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to bectruture of the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. and he It was therefore considered by the Court, that said milism Schowerling be, was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
