250 Al a Superior Court, holden at Eitchflett, Winghester in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight PRESENT-HON. augusture He Fenn judge Be it Remembered, That on the sixth day of October of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty eight Sally Bernhold in the year of Winschester in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Sally Bernhold then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the Declaration of intention made by him before Lyman & Bur Clerk of City Court holden at New Britian, Hartfard leaunty. and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802; and the acts passed subsequently thereto, to wit : United States of america. Be Rememberea. That the it following named persans, each for humself an the day and date set against his names appeared before the leity leurrt holden at then Britian, within and for the City of the City of New Britian, in the leannty of deartford, the eara learst being a learnt of Recard, having leamman Law jurisdiction and a lelerk and Seal, and each declared an rath that it was bona fide his intention to became a citizen of the United States and to renaund forever all allegiance and fisility to any Foreign Prince, Patentate, state or Saverergnity whatever and particularly to the Primer, Palen's State or Sovereigning set against his name, of which he has hitherto been a subject leann Date October 29. 1884. Subject of the government of Name sally Bernhold, Resident of New Britian. Heartford leo. germany In Testimary Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affired the real of sand City Court, the 29 day of October in the year of ano Lard and thousand eight hundred and eighty four. Lyman & Barro lelers. the five years at least United And States it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Sally Bernhold has resided within and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Sally Bernhold having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the Emperor of germany ofthe United Kingdom of Great Britian and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said Sally Bernhold be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. Clerk.
