332 he At a Suferior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and for the County of Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the Fourth Tuesday of J annay in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy two PRESENT-Hon Origin ar Be it Remembered, That on the 16th day of march in the year in of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eventy hw Thomas Connor d of New Mil ford in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. in And at the time of his said application, and of his admission as a citizen of the United States, as hereinafter specified, the said ; Thomas Connor his declared on oath, in open Court, that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and sand Elert Sovereignty whatsoever, and particularly to Victoria Queen of state ly of the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Ireland, of whom he has been hitherto a subject. ad of And further declared on oath and proved to the satisfaction of the Court, that for the three years next preceding, it has been bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States. And it being found by the said Court that the said Thomas Connor is a free white male person, of lawful age, that he was born in relend and is aged 26 years And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Thomas leoner has resided within the United States five years at least, including three years next preceding his arrival at the age of twenty-one years, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. in And the said Thomas Cennor having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance ne and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Il Victoria Parent ne ce of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said C homas Commer be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. Clerk.
