363 Winchester Al a First Superior Tuesday Court, of October holden at bitchficial in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety on six the in and for the County uf Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, PRESENT-HON. Ralph Wheeler judge Be it Remembered, That on the 17 th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six Louis I acquot of Torrington in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Louis dacquot then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the Declaration of intention made by him before the bleck of the bount of Common Pleas for the County of Litchfield and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802; and the acts passed subsequently thereto, to wit: United States of America. State of bonnecticut Be it remembered, That the following person himself on the day and date set against his name, appeared before the blenk of the bourt of Common Pleas for the County of Sitchfield, within said County, the said bourt being a bourt of Record having Common Law jurisdiction, and a bleek and seal, and declared on oath that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and torenounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Pim ce Potentate State, or Sovereignty whatever, andparticularly to the Prince, Potentate State or Sovereignty set against his name, of which he has hitherto been a subject Name Resident of Date subject of the government of Louis dacket Torrington me September Litchfield bounty 22m1 France In Testimony whereof l have heremits set my hand and offixed L.S. the seal of said bout of Common Pleas. at Minchester this 22 day September A.D. 1892. Hm F Hurl but, blerk And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Louis dacqust has resided within the United States five years at least and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Louis dacquat having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance of France and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the govern ment ofthe United Kingdg of Gront Britian and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said Louis Jacquot be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. Clerk.
