in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in

then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the Declaration of intention made by him before the blerk of the

and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an
uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802;

and to unourice all allegian all and fidelity to any
Foreign Prince, Potentate State, or sovereignty whatever,
and particularly to the Prince, Potententate State or sovereignty
set against his name, of which he has hithutobeen a subject

And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said to hurles Olson
has resided within
the United States five years at least
and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he
has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well
disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
And the said Chackes Olson
having declared on oath, that he would support the
CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance
of Sweden
and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the goven ment
of United Kingdom of Groat Britian and Ireland, of whom he was before a
subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said bhailes Olson
be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
