415 Winchester Al a Superior Court, holden at birchfield, in and for the County uf Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the First Tuesday of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and mine ty six. PRESENT-HON Raeph wheeler, Judge Be it Remembered, That on the 24 th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six Harry Morton of michister in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Hanry Morton then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the Declaration of intention made by him before the blerk of the bourt and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an of Common Heascrithin and for the bount ty of Litchfield uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802; t and the acts passed subsequently thereto, to wit : limited States of America. state of Connecticut. Be it unimmed beend that the following person himself, on sheday and date set against his name, appeared before the bark of the bount of bommon He as for the bounty of Litchfield, within said County, the said bourt being a bourt of Record, having Common on Law jurivdiction, and a blerk and seal, and de clased on oath that it was bona fide his intention to be come a citigen of the United States, and to Renom ce foreveral allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign n Prince, Potentate, State, or sovercignty whatever, and particularly to the Prince, Potentate statur Povereignty set against his name, of which he has hithuto been a subject Name Resident of date subject of the government of Harry Morton minchester in Oct. 13.1892 treat Britain Litchfield bounty. In Testimony whenof I have hereunto set my hand and (seal) of fixed the seal of said bourt of Common Pleas, at minchester this 13th day October A. D. 1892 Am F. Hurbut bleck the United States five years at least And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Hany Morton has resided within and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Harry Morton having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to the government ofthe United Kingdom of Great Britian and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that said Hanly Morton be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES. Clerk.
