56 Al a Superior Court, holden at Litchfield, in and fur the County uf Litchfield, in the State of Connecticut, on the second Tuesday of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty PRESENT-HON. Origin Stegman Gudge Be it Remembered, That on the 11 day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sifty michael Kenny of Sharon in said County of Litchfield, being an alien and free white person, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the Declaration of intention made by him before the Superior to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the said michael Kenny Court and of the Liity of hew York requiréd as the first gondition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th of April, 1802; and the acts passed subsequently thereto, to wit : State of New York, In the Superior that it is bona fide my mention whecome. a beteren of the United Court of the bity of hew York d michael Kenny do declare on oath States. to renounce forever all allegiance ifidelity to any foreign Prince. E Leyneh blesk" the United States five years at least And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said michael Kenney has resided within and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said michael Kenny having declared on oath, that he would support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria been of the United Kingdom of Great Britian and Ireland, of whom he was before a subject. be, and he It was was therefore considered by the Court, that said michael Kenny - accordingly admitted to become a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
