COUNTY OF HARTFORD.

it That
of Simplay
in said County of Hartford, but late of the United
Kengdom of Creat Britain and Ireland, appeared before the County
Court for said County of Harford, held at Hartford, in said County, on the
22nd day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty two , the said Court being a Court of Record, having
Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on oath in open
Court, that it was bonafide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and
to renounce forever all allegidnce and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentale, Stale,
or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Nutora Duen
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
IN TESTILONY WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and afficed the Peal of said County
