That Thomas Dixan
in the United
said County of Hartford, but late of
Kengdom of Great Britain and Ireland, appeared before the County
Court for said County of Harlford, held at Harlford, in said County, on the
22 nd day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand
cight hundred two , the said Court being a Court of Record, having
Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on cath in open
Court, that it was benafide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and
to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentale, State,
or Sovereignly whatever, and particularly to Virtona Zeam
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
IN TESTIMONY WHERLOF I have hereunto set my hand
and afficed the Peal of said County
Court this 22 me
day of
March in the year of our Lord,
one thousand eight hundred ty two.
