D.18 41\nTHE\nPETITION OF the of munda\nin the\nCounty of\nrespectfully showeth, that he is a Foreigner, having been\nborn in\nA. D. 18\nThat he is a subject\nof\nThat he emigrated to the United States A. D. 18 39.\nThat before the County\nCourt, held at Hartford, within and for the County of Hartford,\non\nthe / day of November A. D. 18 44 (said Court being a Court of Record,\nhaving Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) he declared, on oath, his intention to become a\ncitizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince,\nPotentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Ince\nas by certificate, duly authenticated, ready in Court to be shown appears.\nThat he has resided in the United States three years next preceding his arriving at the age of twenty-\none years, which occurred on the\n22 day of February\nA. D. 18 4/p\nand has continued to reside therein to the present time ; and that for three years next preceding it Nas\nbeen his bona fide intention to become a citizen of the United States.\nThat he has resided during the last five years constantly in the United States (including the three\nyears of his minority,) and during the last year in the State of Connecticut. That he has behaved during\nsaid five years as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the\nUnited States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Whereupon he prays\nyour Honor to take his case into consideration, and on finding the allegations true, to admit him to be a\ncitizen of the United States, according to the Acts of Congress in such case provided, as he in duty bound\nshall pray.\nDated at Hartford,\nA. D. 18"
