THAT
Slames Mean
late of the UNITED KINGDOM OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND, appeared in the
Sourt of the City Hall of the said City,
on the Thenty Third any of april
in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine
/the said Court being a Court
of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal.) and declared
on OATH, in open Court, that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen
of the Sinites tates, and to renounce, forever, all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign
Prince, Potentate, State or Govereignty, whatsoever and particularly to the Queen of
the United Kingdom of Great Pritain and Freland.
In Cestimony the SEAL of the said MARINE COURT of the City of
New York is hereunto afficed, this 2320
day
of april
and thirty= nine
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hyndrad
and of our Independence the sixty= thuo
Clerk.
