BE IT REMEMBERED,

appeared in the Narine Sourt of the Sity of held in the City Hall
of the said City on the Twenty sixth day of determent in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-four, /the said Court being
a Court of Poecord, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal.) and
declared on OATH, in open Court, that it was bona fide his intention to become a
CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce, forever, all
allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty, whate
seever ; and particularly to The anthoritus of the Canton
of Sty all In districuland
Cestimony the SEAL of the said MARINE COURT of
the City of New York is hereunto afficed, this 26th
day of September in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and forty-four, and of our Independence
the 69 th.
