Be it Remembered, That Francid Woods.
County of Hartford,
of Granby
in said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of
held at Hartford, in said County, on the - little day of November
Great Britain and Ireland, appeared before the County
Court for said County of Hartford,
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty form , the said Court
being a
Court of Record, having Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on oath in
open Court, that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce
forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and
particularly
to Victoria. Queen

xn testimony whercof I have hereunto
set

and Court affixed this the Seal sixteenth of said county
