COUNTY OF HARTFORD.
ss.
be it temembered,
That John Boyd
of Hautfora County of Hartford, but of the
in said late
Kingdom of Preat Britain and Ireland, appeared before the County
bourt for said County of Hareford, held al Hartford, in said County, on the
thirticthing of March in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty the said Court being Court of Record, having
a
Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on oath in ofen
Court, that it was bonafide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and
to renounce forever all ablegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentale, State,
or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to rutor a Seen
of the Wonited Kingdom of Great Britain and Freland.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and afficed the Peal of said bounty
Court this therefithing of
March in the year of our Lord,
one thousand eight hundred and forty.
