it That John Brodie
of Windsen
in said County of Hartford, but late of the United
Kengdom of Great Britain and Preland, appreared before the County
Court for said County of Hartford, held at Hartford, in said County, on the
27 day of March
in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and 44
the said Court being a Court of Record, having
Common Law jurisdiction and a Clerk, and Seal, and declared on cath in open
Court, that it was bonafide his intention to become a citizen of the United Itales, and
or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Cectoria Incen
to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentale, Stale,
of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand
and afficed the Seal of said
