140 Eleptember Term, 1848. BE IT REMEMBERED9 That on the first day of November 15. BE 14. in the ye in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fortycight, William Davidron now of Simsbury in said County of Hart of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having common Law juris- diction, diction, and a Clerk and seal,) and applied to be admitted and to become a citizen of the United States. And the said the said William Davidson then exhibited to the Court a certificate of the Declara Declaration of intention made by him before the Marine, bourt of the lity of New said third day of October, A.D. 18/10, and requ and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled " An Act to establish establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the Acts heretofore passed on that subject." Ap- proved proved 14th of April, 1802, as followor "STAT "STATE OF CONNECTICUT, SS. COUNTY OF HARTFORD, Be IT Be IT REMEMBERED, That in said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Irel and Ireland, appeared before the Court for said County of Hartford, held at Hartford in said Cou said County, on the day of in the year of our Lord one thou one thousand eight hundred and (the said Court being a Court of Record, having having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and declared on oath in open Court, that it was bona fid bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity t fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. In test In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court, this this day of in the year of our Lord on Lord one thousand eight hundred and Clerk," I and it ap and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said William Davidson has resid has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year it least, and that duri that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitu Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said William Davidror And the having declared on oath, that he would support the Con the Constitution of the United States, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegi- ance an ance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Ticto Victoria, Queen King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whon of whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that itilliam Davidson foh be, and he was accordingly admitted to become a citizen of the United S United States.
