    "ocrText": "140\nEleptember Term, 1848.\nBE IT REMEMBERED9 That on the first\nday of November\n15.\nBE\n14.\nin the ye\nin the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fortycight,\nWilliam Davidron\nnow of Simsbury\nin said County\nof Hart\nof Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having common Law juris-\ndiction,\ndiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and applied to be admitted and to become a citizen of the United States. And\nthe said\nthe said William Davidson\nthen exhibited to the Court a certificate of the\nDeclara\nDeclaration of intention made by him before the Marine, bourt of the lity of New\nsaid\nthird day of October, A.D. 18/10,\nand requ\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \" An Act to\nestablish\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the Acts heretofore passed on that subject.\" Ap-\nproved\nproved 14th of April, 1802, as followor\n\"STAT\n\"STATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nSS.\nCOUNTY OF HARTFORD,\nBe IT\nBe IT REMEMBERED, That\nin said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of Great Britain\nand Irel\nand Ireland, appeared before the\nCourt for said County of Hartford, held at Hartford in\nsaid Cou\nsaid County, on the\nday of\nin the year of our Lord\none thou\none thousand eight hundred and\n(the said Court being a Court of Record,\nhaving\nhaving Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and declared on oath in open Court, that it was\nbona fid\nbona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and\nfidelity t\nfidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to\nKing of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.\nIn test\nIn testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said\nCourt,\nthis\nthis\nday of\nin the year of our\nLord on\nLord one thousand eight hundred and\nClerk,\"\nI\nand it ap\nand it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court,\nthat said William Davidson\nhas resid\nhas resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year it least, and\nthat duri\nthat during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the\nConstitu\nConstitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAnd the said William Davidror\nAnd the\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nthe Con\nthe Constitution of the United States, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegi-\nance an\nance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to\nTicto\nVictoria, Queen\nKing of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nof whon\nof whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that\nitilliam Davidson\nfoh\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted to become a citizen of the\nUnited S\nUnited States."
