250 BE IT That on the day of in the in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and of in said County of Hartf of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having common Law juris- diction, and a Clerk and seal,) and applied to be admitted and to become a citizen of the United States. And the said the said then exhibited to the Court a certificate of the Declarat Declaration of intention made by him before and and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled " An Act to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the Acts heretofore passed on that subject." Ap- proved proved 14th of April, 1802, as follows "STATI "STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF HARTFORD, SS. Be Be IT REMEMBERED, That in said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Irel and Ireland, appeared before the Court for said County of Hartford, held at Hartford in said Co said County, on the day of in the year of our Lord one tho one thousand eight hundred and (the said Court being a Court of Record, having having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and declared on oath in open Court, that it was bona fid bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
