415 13); BB IT That on the 14th day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fiftylin Dennis Ryand of Castmandent in said County County of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having common Law juris- Ï juris- diction, and a Clerk and seal,) and applied to be admitted and to become a citizen of the United States. And And the said Ryand then exhibited to the Court a certificate of the of the Declaration of intention made by him before the cles Cent ouches sindary of Ahriel 4833 and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to ct to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the Acts heretofore passed on that subject." Ap- Ap- proved 14th of April, 1802, as follows : "STATE OF CONNECTICUT, COUNTY OF HARTFORD, ss. Be IT REMEMBERED, That in said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of Great Britain ritain and Ireland, appeared before the Court for said County of Hartford, held at Hartford in rd in said County, on the day of in the year of our Lord Lord one thousand eight hundred and (the said Court being a Court of Record, cord, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and declared on oath in open Court, that it was was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovéreignty whatever, and particularly to King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. and. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court, ourt, this day of in the year of our our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Clerk.' -k." and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, that said Ryand nd has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and he that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the said Reyand having declared on oath, that he would support rt the Constitution of the United States, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegi- i- ance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to to the Seeen King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, d, of whom he was before a subject.
