428 131. BE That on the Dock day of Detaber IT in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and in t. Henry simpline of Hamington in said County of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having common Law juris- of diction, and a Clerk and seal,) and applied to be admitted and to become a citizen of the United States. And the said Simpkine then exhibited to the Court a certificate of the the Declaration of intention made by him before the Elevand statemefts county Ded Centre day and and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled " An Act to esta establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the Acts heretofore passed on that subject." Ap- prov proved 14th of April, 1802,as followe: "STATE OF CONNECTICUT, "ST COUNTY OF HARTFORD, SS. Be IT REMEMBERED, That B in said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, appeared before the Court for said County of Hartford, held at Hartford in and said County, on the day of said in the year) of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and one (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and declared on oath in open Court, that it was havi bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and bona fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to fidel King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said In Court, this this day of in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Loro Clerk." LS and it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court, and that said Simpleme has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year it least, and has that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the that Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
