    "ocrText": "45\nfelj J.l. 1842\n27.\nBLS IT That on the 29th\nday of March\nin the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two\nHuy h Hox\nof Bellin\nin said County\nCounty\nof Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having common Law juris-\nW juris-\ndiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and applied to be admitted and to become a citizen of the United States. And\nAnd\nthe said Hough Fox\nthen exhibited to the Court a certificate of the\nof the\nDeclaration of intention made by him before the County baciet 8th\nfor\nanch\ndail County on the 26th day of march\nA.D.D. 1840 as an file\nand required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \"An Act to\nAct to\nestablish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the Acts heretofore passed on that subject.\" Ap-\nAp-\nproved 14th of April, 1802, as follows ;\n\"STATE OF CONNECTICUT,\nss.\nCOUNTY OF HARTFORD,\nBe IT REMEMBERED, That\nin said County of Hartford, but late of the United Kingdom of Great Britain\nBritain\nand Ireland, appeared before the\nCourt for said County of Hartford, held at Hartford in\ntford in\nsaid County, on the\nday of\nin the year of our Lord\nur Lord\none thousand eight hundred and\n(the said Court being a Court of Record,\nRecord,\nhaving Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and seal,) and declared on oath in open Court, that it was\nt it was\nbona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and\nnce and\nfidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to\nKing of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.\nIreland.\nIn testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said\nCourt,\nCourt,\nthis\nday of\nin the year of our\nr of our\nLord one thousand eight hundred and\nClerk.'\nClerk.\"\nand it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court,\nthat said\nHough Fay\nist, and\nhas resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and\nof the\nthat during said five years he has behaved asa man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the\nConstitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nsupport\nAnd the said Hough Hoy\nhaving declared on oath, that he would support\nallegi-\nthe Constitution of the United States, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegi-\narly to\nance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to\nreland,\nKitoria, seem\nKing of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nof whom he was before a subject. It was therefore considered by the Court, that\n1 of the\nHaugh Fox\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted to become a citizen of the\nUnited States."
