    "ocrText": "166\nMarch Term, 1850.\n2.\nBe it Remembered, That on the 27th\nday of alleuch\nin the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty, John Birming of\nonfield\nin\nsaid County of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common\nLaw Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States,\nAnd the said structuringham\nthen exhibited to the Court a certifi-\ncate of the Declaration of intention made by him before the laidcount mothe24th\nlay, of ellauch A.D. 1847\nas on file, and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled \" An\nAct to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.\"\nApproved, 14th of April, 1802.\nAnd to the satisfaction of the\nit appearing Court that the said John Birmingham\nhas resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and\nthat during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the\nConstitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nAnd the said having declared on oath, that he would support\nthe CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and\nabjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty, whatever, and\nGreat Initaino and delans,\nparticularly to Ulteria, Then ofthe united Kingdomoof\nof whom he was before a subjecta It was, therefore, considered by the Court, that\nBirmingham\nbe, and he was accordingly admitted to become\na Citizen of the UNITED STATES."
