March Term, 1851.
Be it Remembered, That on the 2nd
day of april
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty on
of
moses glaten of Sbartford
in said County of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common
Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States.
And the said moses Glater, at the time of his then exhibited to the Court a
certifi-
cate of the Declaration of intention made by him bofore the laid application and of his
admission as a alegen of The United States as hereinafter spec.
if i did declared on oath in open Court that it is and for moresthan
there years last past hasbeen, fona fide his intention to become
a citizen of The United States and to ennounce forever all alle
geance to any foreign Prince Potentate State or Sovereignty what
Ever, and particularly to Vecoria Queen of the United Hingdom
of Great Britani and Ireland, to whom he had histeres been
subject; and it appearing to the satisfaction of this bourt
that the said moses Mater has wided in the United as least three
years previous to his arriving at the age of twenty one years
which occurred on the 30th day of October A.D. 1848
as-on file, and required as the firet condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled " An
Act to establish an miform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject "
Approved, 14th of April, 1809.
And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the said moses glater
has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and
that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the
Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
And the said moses Hater
having declared on oath, that he would support
the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and
abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty, whatever, and
particularly to Victoria, Queen of The United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Ireland
of whom he was before a subject. It was, therefore, considered by the Court, that
moses Mater
be, and he was accordingly admitted to become
a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
