Be it Remembered, on
That the 3rd
day of c April
in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty ne one
of
George Crompton of Hartford
in said County of Hartford, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common
Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal,) and applied to be admitted to become a citizen of the United States.
And the said izon plow at the time of his said then exhibited to the Court a certifi-
ente of the Declaration of intention made by him before the application and of his ad
as a citizen of The United States as hereinafter specified
declared on oath in open bourt that it is, and for more than three years
last past, has been, of gide, his intention to become a citigen of the
United Itates and to renounce forever all allegiance and ofidelity to any
foreign Pruice Poicetate State or loverigity whatever and particularly to
lictoria Ince of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and reland
to whom he had Witherto feeu Subcet. and it appearing to the satisfactive
of this Court that the said Genge Compton had resided in the United
states at least three years next proceding his arriving at the agoof
lively one years which occurred on the 23rd day of charch AD.

on file, and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled " An
Act
to establish an uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject.2
Approved, 14th of April, 1802.
And it appearing to the satisfaction
of the Court that the said George Crompton
has resided within the United States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and
that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the
Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.
And the said George compton
having declared on oath, that he would support
the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and
abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty, whatever, and
particularly to Victorca. I ween of The United Kingdom of
Great Britain and buland
of whom he was before a subject. It was, therefore, considered by the Court, that
George Crompton
be, and he was accordingly admitted to become
a Citizen of the UNITED STATES.
