APPLICATION OF Charles J Peterson To be Admitted a Citisen of the United States of America. By occupation carriage maker Charles I Paterson being duly sworn, deposes and says, that he is the above-named applicant for admission as a Citizen of the United States of America; that he was born in Surren on or about the 25th day of Syptim Cn in the year one thousand eight hundred and sixty person emigrated United States, landing the Port land to the at of New you in the State of new york on or about the 15 th day of may A. D. 891 and that he now resides at No. 36 Hawkins Street, in New Britain ; that he has arrived at the age of twenty-one years ; that he has resided continuously within the United States since may 1891 and continuously within the State of Connecticut since may I 891 and that said applicant did on the 20th day of Septembra 18991 before the as Count holdenat newB ritain within and for the D of how Bntain declare his intention to become a citizen of the United States and renounce and abjure all allegiance to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatsoever, etc., as appears by the certificate of the Clerk of said Court, here produced, and said applicant says he is the identical person named therein. Applicant further deposes and says, that he does not disbelieve in nor is he opposed to all organized government, nor is he a member of or affiliated with any organization entertaining or teaching such disbelief in or opposition to all organized government, nor does he advocate or teach the duty, necessity, or propriety of the unlawful assaulting or killing of any officer or officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the Governmet of the United States or of any other organized government, because of his or their official character, nor has he violated any of the provisions of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approved March 3, 1903. 0C1 24 1904 Sworn to before me, this day of 19 Applicant. Clerk. manderf Benson being duly sworn, deposes and says, that he resides at No. 20 Commercial Street, in new Britan State of Connecticut, and is by occupation a clerk that he is a citizen of the United States of America, and personally acquainted with the above-named applicant for admission to citizenship of the said United States, and has known him for the past from years, to wit, from 895 to present 1 that his occupation is that of carriage maker , Hawkins Street, in new Britain and that he resides at No that he personally knows that the applicant has resided continuously within the limits and under the jurisdiction of the United States of America since summer 98 and continuously within the State of Connecticut since summer of 595 and that during the said time of his residence within the United States and within the State, he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached That to the in principles of the Constitution of the United States and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. so far as he knows, is informed, or believes, the applicant does not disbelieve or teaching in nor such is he disbelief opposed in to or all opposition organized to goverment, all organ- ized nor government, nor does he advocate or teach the duty, necessity, or propriety or of any is he a member of or affiliated with any organization entertaining of the unlawful assaulting killing of other officer organized or government, because of his or their official character, nor has he violated any of the provisions of the Act of officers, either of specific individuals or of officers generally, of the Government of the United States or any Congress entitled "An Act to regulate the Immigration of Aliens into the United States," approyed March 3, 1903.
