D. 1883\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n22\nday of lector\nin said year,\nin the County of Hewitam\nJoseph T. T.Chatel\nof Walmling\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of\nRecord, with common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made application it to the made said to Court, ap-\nto become and this a citizen Court of having the United found States: to their And satisfaction, upon examination that the said first applicant had, being is a free, white of Great male\npear, person of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nBritain and Ireland, William I. Emperor of Germany\nthat he is now of the age of 38 years ; that he was born in\nCanadu\nin\nlast\nsaid Kingdom and in State ; that of he Connecticut has resided and in the within United the States Jurisdiction constantly of this for Court more than for more five has years than a one\npast, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good United citizen, States, good and\nyear moral last character, past, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the to this Court, that\nwell disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. It also appearing before the Destrict\nsaid applicant did, pursuant to the laws of the United States. appear\nCourt within and for bubrict of Rhade toland the same\nthe 11 day of May Clerkland a Seal. and on oath did declare that it was BONA FIDE for- his\nA. D. 18 82, being a Court of Record with\non\ncommon intention Law to become Jurisdiction, a citizen a of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and and particularly fidelity to\never Victoria, to every Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of\nForeign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, William I. Emperor\nGermany\nappears. And the said applicant now here in this Court, and fidelity declares to\nas by the Record of said absolutely court and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance particularly to Victoria,\nevery Queen Foreign of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\non oath, that he Prince, doth Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, William and I. Emperor of Germany\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on oath, that he will support the Constitution of\nthe United States of America.\nWherefore. the said applicant is hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared to be a citizen\nof the United States of America.\nClerk."
