191 STATE OF CONNECTICUT, District SS. CITY OF BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 26 deplumber Discret day of District A. D. 188/ , before the City Court, within and for said City, having Common Law jurisdiction, with a Clerk and a Seal, personally appeared, Edmund But of Plymouth- Leleteful County who was born in reland aged about 35- years, and on oath did declare that it was BONA FIDE his inten tion to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Brit- ain and Ireland, to William I. Emperor of Germany of whom he is now a subject. Dault. Wetcher Clerk.
