Richard a Brien

Oxferd
who was born in Ireland
aged about 42
years, and on oath did declare thati it was BONA FIDE his inten
tion to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES,
and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and
Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Brit-
ain and Ireland, to William I Emperor of Germany
of whom he is now a subject.
