within and for said Orty, having Common Law jurisdiction,

with a Clerk and a Seal, personally appeared,

Neugetuate
who was born in Eugland aged about 39
years, and on oath did declare that it was BONA FIDE his Inten-
tion to become a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES,
and to renounce forever all allegian be and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and
Sovereignty, whatever-and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Brit-
ain and Ireland, to William I. Emperor of Germany
of whom he is now a subject.
