At a City Court, holden in and for the Gity of W aterbury, on the first Monday

BE IT REMEMBERED, That on
the 25 day of Getotay in said
year,
Thomas Q,Dra
of shomastere
in the County of Lelethfill
appeared before said Court, the same being a Court of
Record, with common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and made application to the said Court,
to become a citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to ap-
pear, and this Court having found to their satisfäction, that the said applicant is a free, white male
person of.lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Ireland, of William I. Eimperor of Germany
that of the of that he was born in
he is now age 21s years Ireland
in
said Kingdom ; that he has resided in the United States constantly for `more than five years last
past, and in said State of Connecticut and within the Jurisdiction of this Court for more than one
year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good
moral character, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and
well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court, that
said applicant arrived in the United States of America before attaining to the age of eighteen
years, and that he has continued to reside therein thence hitherto-and he now here on oath
de-
clares that for three years last past, it has been and now is BONA FIDE his intention to
become
a
eitizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever to
every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to
Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, William I. Emperor of
Germany
And the said applicant now here in this Court, declares on oath, that he doth absolutely and
entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate,
State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Ireland, William I. Emperor of Germany
of whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on oath, that he will support the Constitution of
the United States of America.
Wherefore. the said applicant is hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared to be a citizen
of the United States of America.
