the Clerk of the Superior Court for said County of New London, at nonvich

of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-sixtle said Court being a
Court of Record, having Common Lowjurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal, and declared
on oath that it was bona fide his intention to become acitizen of the United States, and
to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State,
or Sovereignty. whatever, and particularly to the Government of the Emperor
