In and for the county of New Lonilou, in the State of Connecticut, on
the
8th vlay of February of our Lord,
one thousand ciglit hundred and eighty - seven
PRESENT.-HON. Charles B.Andrew JUDGE.
Be it Remembered, That John Andrewe
of new London in the County of new London
but late of the Kingdom of Portugal
appeared before
the Clerk of the Superior Court for said County of New London, at New London
in said County, on the 8th
day of February in the year
of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred unleighty seventhe said Court being a
Court of Record, having Common Law jurisdiction, and a Clerk and Seal, and declared
on oath that it was bona fide lis intention to become a citizen of the United States, and
to forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State,
