Me it Remembered, That on the 18th leo day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand hundred and City ghernas gunu of in said County of New London, appeared in open Court, (the said Court being a Court of Record, having Common Law Jurisdiction, and a Clerk and and admitted to become a citizen of the United States. And the to said then exhibited to the Court a Certificate of the declaration of intention made by him before the Canchof Read fertilibility leauty State of New York anth 22 day if February 1854 as on file, and required as the first condition according to the first section of the Act of Congress entitled "An Act to establish a uniform rule of Naturalization, and to repeal the acts heretofore passed on that subject." Approved 14th April, 1802. Theneas And it appearing june to the satisfaction has of resided the Court within that the the United said States five years at least, and in the State of Connecticut one year at least, and that during said five years he has behaved as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. And the Lume having declared oath, that he said would on support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that he did absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sove- reignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria Duen therefore, of Kingdom that human was a the United of Great Britain and of whom he before subject. It was, considered by the Court, be, and hereby is accordingly admitted to become a citizen of the UNITED STATES.
