So the ston. Superior Court, holden at Brooklyn, in and for the Coanty of Windham, undnew Mater now resident at in said County, respectfully represents that he was born in the learnly of Lefenary in the United Kingdotu of Great Britain and Ireland, on or about the day of Lune A. D., 1836 and is now about 134 years of age and that he arrived at Boston A. and to D., [8 54 that it was then and still is bona fide on his or intention about the to become a citizen of day the of United ynay States of America, renounce all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever, and particularly to Vic- toria, Queen of the United King lom of Great Britain and Ireland, whose subject he has heretofore been ; all of which appears on the record of the honorable Michandine the 18th they of A aperjor Court, holden at nowweek in and for the County of Tresday of march D., 139 a certified copy of which record is herewith exhibited. And the said Cendrew When further represents, that he has ever since continued within the jurisdiction of the United States ; that he hath never borne any hereditary title, or been of any of the orders of nobility ; that he is ready to anpounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, whose subject he has heretofore been ; that he is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States of America, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Whereupon he prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States of America, according to the forms of the Statute in such cases made and provided. And as in duty bound will ever pray. Dated at Brookleye this of Mevich A. D.1870 I do solemnly swear that I will support the CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES, and that I hereby renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.
