D., 1838 on or about the 28 day A. D., 1855 that it was then and still is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever, and particularly to Vic- toria, Queen of the United King lom of Great Britain and Ireland, whose subject he has heretofore been ; all of which appoars on the rooord of the honorable Court, holden g in Land for the County of on community the Manto states whed the Megan the can trand the age of Swinture years the age of lightuney two without Tuesday of A.D., a-certified copy of which record is horowith oxhibited And the said Sunusellistay further represents, that he has ever since continued within the jurisdiction of the United States that he hath never borne any hereditary title, or been of any of the orders of nobility ; that he is ready to appounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, whose subject he has heretofore been ; that he is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States of America, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Whereupon he prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States of America, according to the forms of the Statute in such cases made and provided. And as in duty bound will ever pray. Dated a Brooklyn this 11th of March A. D., 172.
