D., 839 that it was then and still is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States OL demerica,\nand to renounce all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever, and partic-\nularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nwhose subject he has heretofore been ; all of which appears on the record of\nthe honorable\nCourt, holdon at\ninfand for the\nstates while hewad a nener under thisage of eightests\nCounty of on the that he came to they Unifeed\nyears\nTuesday of\nA.D.\n-a-certified copy of which record is herewith exhibited\nAnd the said\nJoseph Burrows\nfurther represents, that he has ever since\ncontinued within the jurisdiction of the United States ; that he hath never borne any hereditory title, or been of any of the\norders of nobility ; that he is ready to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate,\nState or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland\nwhose subject he has heretofore been ; that he is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States of\nAmerica, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same.\nWhereupon he prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States of America, according to the\nforms of the Statute in such cases made and provided. And as in duty bound will ever pray.\nDated at\nthis 27th day of leugust\nA. D. 1507\nI areth Burrows\nI do solemnly swear that I will support the CONSTITUTION of the UNITED STATES, and that I hereby re-\nnounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, particularly\nto Victoria Queen, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.\nSo help me God."
