To the Superior Court, holden at Brooklyn, in and for the County of Wind- ham, michael Camell now resident at Plainfield in said County, respectfully represents, that he was born in in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, on or about the 28 day of Enviry A. D., 1825 and is now about 35. years of age ; and that he arrived at, Newyork on or about the 25. day of Mark A. 1.. 1848. that it was then and still is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the Uni- ted Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, whose subject he has heretofore been ; all of which appears on the record of the honorable Ceity Court, holden at nonoid in and for the County of newsough on the 31 Day qualliss Tresday of A.D. a certified copy of which record is herewith exhibited. And the said michael Commun further represents, that he has ever since continued within the jurisdiction of the United States ; that he hath never borne any heredi- tory title, or been of any of the orders of nobility ; that he is ready to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. whose subject he has heretofore been that he is attached to the principles of the Constitu- tion of the United States of America, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Whereupon he prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States of America, according to the forms of the Statute in such cases made and provided. And as in duty bound will ever pray. Dated at Broohly this 29 day of Mand A. D. 1860 Muhul leamer I do solemnly swear that I will support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that I hereby renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United King- dom of Great Britain and Ireland. So help me God.
