To the Thon. Court, holden at Brooklyn, in and for the County of Wind- ham, William Country said County, respectfully represents, that he was born in kings /County now resident at filling in Indised in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, on or about the 3'd and is now about 24 years of age ; and that he arrived at day of May New A. D., 1835 on or about the 10th day of March york A. D., 18 51 that it was then and still is bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States of America, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty, whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the Uni- ted Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, whose subject he has heretofore been ; all of which appears on the record of the honorable Court, holden- at and for the County of on the that at the time of histurial in the muld States this he aye was I under tixlein Un cage chart Eighteen years to with of Trestay of A.D. -certified copy of which record is hereuith exhibited And the said William Coursey further represents, that he has ever since continued within the jurisdiction of the United States ; that he hath never borne any heredi- tory title, or been of any of the orders of nobility ; that he is ready to renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Qucen of the United kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. whose subject he has heretofore been ; that he is attached to the principles of the Constitu- tion of the United States of America, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Whereupon he prays that he may be admitted to become a citizen of the United States of America, according to the forms of the Statute in such cases made and provided. And as in duty bound will ever pray. Dated at this of April A. D. 1839 William Concern I do solemnly swear that I will support the CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES, and that I hereby renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign Prince, Poten- tate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United King- dom of Great Britain and Ireland. So help me God.
