APPLICATION FOR NATURALIZATION. Sold by ELIHU GEER, Stationer and Printer, 10 State street, Hartford. To the Hon. Superior Court, now sitting in follow , in and for County, September Term, A. D. 1856 THE PETITION OF John Bliss of Vemon in the County of Tolland respectfully showeth, that he is a Foreigner, hav- ing been born in Obrellenn Escennary fan 25th D. 1814 That he is a subject of Sepport thing of Genn my That he emigrated to the United States May 16" A. D. 18575 That before the County Court, held at Yolland within and for the County of Yolland A. D. 18574 (said Court, being a Court of Record, having Common Law jurisdiction, on the 24- day of fully and a Clerk and Seal,) he declared, on oath, his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any Foreign Prince, Potentate, State, or Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Seapord thing of sermany as by certificate, duly authenticated, ready in Court to be shown, appears. That le has resided In the United States three years next precedit ng his arriving at the age of twenfy-one years, which occurred on the day of A. D. 18 and ha continued to reside therein to the present time; and that for three years next precedi 1g it has been his bona fid intention to become a citizen of the United States. That he has resided during the last five years constantly in the United States (including the three years of his minority,) and during the last year in the State of Con- necticut. That he has behaved during said five years as a man of good moral character, attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happiness of the same. Whereupon he prays your Honor to take his case into consideration, and on finding the aforesaid allegations true, to admit him to be a citizen of the United States, according to the Acts of Congress in such case provided.
