BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the

in said county, appeared the same being a Court of Record, a Clerk and a Seal,

in said Kingdom; that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Con-
neeticut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good eitizen, has a good moral
character, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happi-
ness of the same. It also appearing to this Court, that said applicant did, pursuant to the laws of the United States, appear before

as by the Record of said Court appears. And the said applicant now here in this Court, declares on oath, that he doth absolutely
and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever,
and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; William, Emperor of Germany, Hum-
bert, hing of Alexander Emporor of Russia; Oscar, King of Sweden and Norway; Leopold, King of Berginme-Cluristian, King

of whom he is now a subject; and he also declares on oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of America.
