in said county, appeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdietion, a Clerk and a Seal,
and made application to said Court, to become a citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made to ap-
pear, and this Court having found to their satisfaction, that the said applicant is a free male person of lawful age, an alien, and
a
subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; William, Emperor of Germany; Humbert, King
of Italy; Alexander, Emperor of Russia; Osent, King of Sweden and Norway; heopold, King of Belgium Christian, King
that he is now of the age of

in said Kingdom; that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Con-
necticut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good eitizen, has a good moral
character, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happi-

Victoria.,Ouccon of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland; William, Emperor of Germany; Humbert, King of Italy;
Alexander, Emperor of Russia; Oscar, King of Sweden and Norway; Leopold, King of Belgium; Christian, King of Denmark;
as by the Record of said Court appears. And the said applicant now here in this Court, declares on oath, that he doth absolutely
and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever,
and particularly to Victoria, Britain and Ireland; William, Emperor of Germany;
Hum-
bert, King of Italy; Alexander, Emperor of Russia; Oscar, King of Sweden and Norway; Leopold, King of Belgium; Christian, King
of Demmark;
of whom he is now a subject; and he also declares on oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of America.
