United States of America, State of Connecticut, SS. At a Court of Common Pleas, held at New Haven, within and for the County of New Haven, on the first third Monday of October A. D. 1894 BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 4th general said county, appeared hirlein before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, of with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and day of October Newstaver, in said year, and iN made application to said Court, to become a citizen of the United States: And upon examination first had, it being made a to Seal, ap- pear, and this Court having found to their satisfaction, that the said applicant is a free male person of lawful age, an alien, and a subject of tents, Atexander, Emperor of Itussia; Oscar, King of Sweden and Norway; heopold, King of Belgium; Christian, King of Denmark; of Fiotoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britah and Ircland, Willinm, Emperor of Germany: Humbort, King that he is now of the age of 24 years; that he was born in Demmark. in said Kingdom; that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Con- necticut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral character, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and happi- ness of the same. It also appearing to this Court, that said applicant did, pursuant to the laws of the United States, appear before Clerk of the the County of New Havem Court of leomon Pleas within and for the on the 16th day of august A. D. 189/ the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on oath did declate that it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britaim and Ireland; William, Emporor of Cormany; Humbert King of Italy; Alexander, Emporor of Russia; Osenr, King of Sweden and Norway; Leopold, King of Belgimm; Christian, King of Denmark; as by the Record of said Court appears. And the said applicant now here in this Court, declares on oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever. and particularly to Viotoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Irolandy Williem, Emperor Germany best, King of tealy; Alexander, Emperor of Russia, Oscar, King of Sweden and Norway; Leopold, King of Belgium; Christian, King of Denmark; of whom he is now a subject; and he also declares on oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of America.
