    "ocrText": "United States of Imerica, State of 55,\nAt a Superior Court, holden in and for the County of New Haven, on the First\nTuesday of March A, D. 1868.\nBE IT REMEMBERED That on\nthe 20\nday of april\nin said year,\nnewhonday John Graham\nof\nnewlockion\nin sait county, appeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with common Law Jurisdiction,\na Clerk and a Seal, and made application to said Court, to become a citizen of the United States : And upon\nexamination first had, it being made to appear, and this Court having found to their satisfaction, that the said\napplicant is a free white male person of lawful age, an alien, and a subject of Victoria, Queen\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, that he is now of the age of 22\nyears ;\nthat he was born in\nUnited States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecticut for more than one\nEngland\nin said Kingdom ; that he has resided in the\nyear last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral charac-\nter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good\norder and happiness of the same. It also appearing to this Court, that said applicant arrived in the United\nStates of America before attaining to the age of eighteen years, and that he has continued to reside therein\nthence hitherto-and he now here on oath declares that for three years last past, it has been and now is bona\nfide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every Foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. And the said applicant now here in this Court,\ndeclares on oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every\nForeign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen\nof the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, of whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on\nOath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of America.\nWherefore, the said applicant is hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared to be a citizen of the\nUnited States of America.\nI, when Horry Clerk of the Superior Court in and for said county,\nhereby\ncertify that the foregoing is a true copy of Record.\nin Witness Whereof, I hereunto set my hand and the\nseal of said Court, this 2\nday\nof april\n1868,\nAthin Octobery Clerk.\nS"
