BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the 31st of March in said
John Sherridan of New day 16 aven in year said Country
appeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and mand
application to said Court to become a Citizen appear,
and this Court having found to their satisfaction
of that the United the said States John : And upon examination Sherridosa first had, it being made free white to male
person of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,
that he is now of the age of

years, that he was born in

Kingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-
cut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral

to every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Ireland,
as by the Records of said Court appear. And the
said John Sherridan
now here
in this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-
eign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Ireland,
of whom he is now a subject, and he declares on Qath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-
ica.
Wherefore the said Therridan is hereby, by this Court, admitted and declared
to be a Citizen of the United States of America.
