D. 1848.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the B1 ct day of October\nin said year\nappeared before said Court, the same being a Court of Record, with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and\nBartholomen Vo aly of New Heaven in Raid County\nmade\napplication to said Court to become a Citizen of the United States And upon examination first had, it being made to appear,\nand this Court having found to their satisfaction that the said Bartholomen Vealy is a free white\nmale\nperson of lawful age, an alien and a subject of Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland,\nthat he is now of the age of\n25 years, that he was born in Ireland\nin said\nKingdom, that he has resided in the United States constantly for more than five years last past, and in said State of Connecti-\ncut for more than one year last past, and that he has during all said time behaved himself as a good citizen, has a good moral\ncharacter, and is attached to the principles of the Constitution of the United States, and well disposed to the good order and\nhappiness same. It also to Court that said\nof the appearing this Bartholomero clealy did, purseant\nappear fe before Charles A engension Clerk of the u S District\nthe United the pursuant to the laws of the United States\nCourt within and for the District of Connecticut\non the\n31st day of October\nA. D. 18 44, the same being a Court of Record with Common Law Jurisdiction, a Clerk and a Seal, and on Oath did declare\nthat it was bona fide his intention to become a citizen of the United States, and to renounce all allegiance and fidelity forever\nto every foreign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Vietoria, Queen of the United Kingdom\nof Great Britain and Ireland,\nas by the Records of said Court appear. And the said Bartholouren Vo aly\nnow here\nin this Court declares on Oath, that he doth absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to every for-\neign Prince, Potentate, State and Sovereignty whatever, and particularly to Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom of Great\nBritain and Ireland,\nof whom he is now a subject, and he also declares on Oath, that he will support the Constitution of the United States of Amer-\nica. Wherefore\nthe said Barthdoman bloals is hereby, by this Court, admitted declared\nand\nto be a Citizen of the United States of America.\nSTATE OF CONNECTIOUT )\n0\nCOUNTY OF NEW HAVEN:\nss.\nBE IT REMEMBERED, That on the\n27th\nday of March\nA.
